Diego López: "We're going for the win at the Santiago Bernabéu"
The Valencia CF forward spoke to the media in a press conference
Jesús Vázquez made his LaLiga debut for Valencia CF in the closing moments of the game against Deportivo Alavés, in what was also his first official appearance at Mestalla.
The defender, who came on for Denis Cheryshev, played his first game for the club in the Copa del Rey last season, but had yet to make his bow in league action.
He had also featured in the recent Trofeo Naranja game at the stadium, which saw him in action against Italian side AC Milan.
Vázquez, the son of former Valencia CF sporting director Braulio Vázquez, has been at the club since 8-a-side level, and has moved up through the youth system. He has also recently been picked for the Spain Under-19s squad.
Valencia CF have a history of developing left backs: Current graduates in the squad are José Luis Gayà and Toni Lato, whilst before them FC Barcelona's Jordi Alba and Paris Saint Germain's Juan Bernat rose up the VCF Academy ranks to reach the first team.
